Founder Susan Kaufman was originally inspired by her love-affair with the small plate, or ‘cicchetti,’ she discovered at Venetian tapas bars. During her travels throughout the Mediterranean, she found a unifying thread in both the flavors and atmospheres of the places she visited. In November of 2009, she opened Cicchetti Kitchen + Bar to bring the warm and inviting Mediterranean-inspired cuisine home.
